We visited the Frank Lloyd Wright house, "Falling Water" in Pennsylvania. It was something that David had only dreamed of visiting.
We arrived early for the 9/11 memorial service. David received a permit that allowed us into the event tent with family, speakers, and friends. He also had a permit to photograph the happenings. But, they warned us extensively about not saying anything about his sculpture or to make this a commercial event in any way. So we were a little nervous about what was allowed. He joined the news channel cameramen and reporters on the raised platform and held his ground for some good shots. The program was very nice and they were extremely thoughtful of the family members.
The tiny white spot in the background locates the sacred ground where the airliner actually crashed. The public is not allowed to approach very close but family members were there leaving flowers and wreaths. The two beautiful bells were hung on a trailer and rung at the memorial program after reading the name of each of the passengers and crew members.
First, we visited the 9/11 Shanksville, flight 93 memorial. It is pretty touching. The flags to the right are above a wall where people have left momentos, comments, photos, etc.

What a special experience for you to be at the memorial of Flight 93 on that day of remembering, eight yrs later. Having watched the whole scenario this year via television on that day, I was happy that you were closeup amd firsthand in the recollections and reflections of that now sacred place. The bells resounded so clearly and beautifully.
That is neat that you were able to be right there. So are you going to the sight of the World Trade Towers next year?
